Teams timetable for Biology students
Tutorials:
Aiming for the A- Focusing on skills to achieve A-A* grade in Biology including exam question practice of more challenging Biology questions, how to tackle more challenging questions, developing essays and maths skills. Year 2 only.
Booster- Focusing on Boosting Biology skills and improving exam technique include comprehension questions, maths skills, understand the question and practical based exam technique. Sessions involve practice exam questions to perfect your technique. Year 1 students (Monday) and Year 2 (Wednesday) sessions.
Support- Focusing on recapping key content and terms, developing more efficient revision techniques and applying this content to exam questions to practice exam technique. Year 1 students (Fridays with Dan) and Year 2 (Fridays with Kim).
If there are specific topics, content, techniques you are struggling with then you can also speak.email, teams your Biology teacher as well.

Synoptic Essay
Below are resources for you to use to support the development of your essay writing skills.
The topic links are examples of previous essays titles and the topic areas that can be included in these topic areas. Especially make note of the key word in the essay title eg importance of, relationship to, etc as these will give you an idea of how you will make each section relevant. There is also a guide to identify topic areas for each essay title which has been designed by Carmel biology students for Carmel biology students!
The folder contain either example essays from Carmel students that make been marked and annotated by staff- the annotations are so you can identify the level of detail and terminology needed to get the Scientific knowledge marks and how to make each paragraph Relevant to the essay title, or activities made by us for you to complete to practice specific aspects of your essays skills. The essays that other students have written are not perfect but are useful to help you develop your ideas.
