The activities during the induction period are designed to assist you in identifying the skills that are required to be successful within the course. Many of the skills you will find transferable to university and employment.

For example: You may find referencing your work a challenge at first but this is a vital skill for university study. One of our students talking about her first few weeks at university said .." we had a session on referencing, it was great to know what the lecturer was talking about. I was shocked that I was the only one in the group of 20 that knew how to reference."

You will also be undertaking induction activities which will be used as evidence for your unit 6&44 (National Diploma) or Unit 48 ( Subsidiary Diploma)
