In preparation for Biological Science courses at university, or any related e.g. Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Physiotherapy etc it is encouraged that students do additional reading once at university, to broaden their horizons, give greater context and detail and to encourage interest and specialism in the subject. This will also help you score higher marks on the essay question on paper 3.

For competitive course e.g. Medicine, Dentistry, Oxford, Cambridge etc, it is very strongly advised that additional reading is undertaken prior to application, to help develop and show your passion and determination to study these subjects. These types of courses and universities will be looking for this.

Below are a couple of links to help you if you are unsure where to look for additional reading, though remember, this is in itself a skill that will be necessary to develop on your own over time.
