This unit introduces you to Health, Safety and Security issues in health and social care settings.  In the UK Health and Safety is taken extremely seriously, and we take it for granted that our workplaces will be safe.  As a practitioner you will have to consider what risks exist, and be able to plan a safe environment for both clients and others in the setting.  You will need to know what the law requires you to do, and how to carry it out.

Employability skills / Stretch & Challenge - You will be required to undertake a full risk assessment and evaluate its effectiveness within a particular context.
