Teams timetable for Biology students
Tutorials:
Aiming for the A- Focusing on skills to achieve A-A* grade in Biology including exam question practice of more challenging Biology questions, how to tackle more challenging questions, developing essays and maths skills. Year 2 only.
Booster- Focusing on Boosting Biology skills and improving exam technique include comprehension questions, maths skills, understand the question and practical based exam technique. Sessions involve practice exam questions to perfect your technique. Year 1 students (Monday) and Year 2 (Wednesday) sessions.
Support- Focusing on recapping key content and terms, developing more efficient revision techniques and applying this content to exam questions to practice exam technique. Year 1 students (Fridays with Dan) and Year 2 (Fridays with Kim).
If there are specific topics, content, techniques you are struggling with then you can also speak.email, teams your Biology teacher as well.

How to Revise
These are some resources that you will find useful to help you with your revision skills. Remember, there are many different ways to revise (just reading a text book is not one of them!) and you need to find the right one or ones that work for you.
1. Some different suggestions on how to make revision notes.
2. Study skills checklist activity.

4. Here is a document with some great videos about general revision tips, one video about scientifically proven ways to revise!
5. Effective note-taking is really important when studying any subject/topic. Click here for some excellent links to how to effectively note taking in class and how to use these to form part of your revision.
6. Note taking can also be used as an effective revision tool, use this which explain the "Cornell notes" technique, great for reviewing and condensing work.
7. Want to try mind mapping but not sure how to do it? Here are a few links of "how to" videos.
8. Want to try making flash cards but not sure how to do it? Here are a few links of "how to" videos.
9. Want to try something a little different? You can also use post-it notes for effective revision. This will give you some details.
10. It is also important to put some thought into where and when you will be studying, here is a link with some questions for you to consider when deciding where and when is best for you.
